Revelstoke Mountain Resort is quickly becoming known throughout the world as one of the greats!
Open for our third season of operations, already RMR boasts North America's and the Western Hemisphere's highest lift-serviced vertical at 1,713 meters (5620 ft) - well over 1 mile, 3,031 acres of fall-line skiing, high alpine bowls, 13 areas of gladed terrain and phenomenal groomed terrain. Revelstoke Mountain Resort is also the only resort worldwide to offer lift, cat, heli and backcountry skiing from one village base. Via our lift, cat and heli offers, skiers and snowboarders have access to a total of 515,000 acres of terrain. That is an area over 7 times larger than the top 43 resorts in North America combined. All in what many claim to be the best snow on the planet!
Upon completion, the Resort will offer more than 20 lifts and over 100 ski and snowboard runs, transforming the area into a world-class destination. The four-season resort will include over 5,000 new housing units (1,500 resort condominiums, 2,000 hotel suites, 850 townhomes and 550 single-family lots), as well as more than 500,000 square feet of commercial and retail space, plus the signature Nick Faldo-designed resort-style golf course.
Revelstoke Mountain Resort is already moving into its next phase with the launch of summer operations, beginning in July 2010.
Lift Skiing
Revelstoke Mountain Resort features 1,227 hectares (3,031 acres) of lift-accessed terrain with a descent of 1,713 vertical meters (5,620 feet) - the highest in North America. The Resort has two high-speed quad chairs, an eight-passenger gondola and a dedicated beginner slope with Magic Carpet conveyor lift. New amenities at the base of the mountain include the Rockford Wok|Bar|Grill full service restaurant, retail and rental shops and lift ticket and skier services, all set to open in December 2009 in the Nelsen Lodge. The lift-accessed, Mid-Mountain Lodge featuring stunning views, a self-serve restaurant, espresso bar, and deck with a barbeque is also located on the mountain.

Cat Skiing
Experience breathtaking views of the Monashee Mountains and the Columbia River from the South, Montana and Kokanee Bowls. Enjoy fabulous alpine bowls, naturally gladed slopes and our renowned light, dry, champagne powder snow. Snow conditions and the group's ability will dictate the terrain that is accessed each day. Full-day packages include unlimited vertical, equipment rentals, a light continental breakfast, on-slope lunch and après ski beverage and appetizers.

Nelsen Lodge
Nelsen Lodge opened in March, 2009 in the centre of Revelstoke Mountain Resort's village. Designed by the foremost resort architectural firm in North America, Raymond Letkeman and Associates created the Resort in a contemporary mountain alpine architectural style where every suite offers outstanding views across the Columbia and Monashee Mountains. Crafted with natural materials that meld into the landscape, the hotel blends inviting natural materials such as leather, granite and rich wood stains offset by stainless steel appliances and brushed nickel fixtures and hardware.
